Fire in the Hall

How to start on a wonderful night with awesome and old friends? My cousin Donna arrived in the South End and having secured princess parking, she joined Josh and me for drinks on the roofdeck of our friend Richard. Glasses of wine later, we made it to The Buttery, where we had lobster mac and cheese, mussels, chicken and whatevever Josh ordered. With the espresso poured over vanilla ice cream, our meal was complete. After a brief flirtation with the watier, who was originally from California - "why have you moved here?" I asked - Josh and I wandered to our old haunt, Club Cafe. We met up with my high school partner in crime and after numerous libations, we made it back to his condo. Are we hung over? Well, if microwaving a gluten free pizza that clearly says to put in the oven is any indication - yes. As the pizza made more smoke than the condo could handle, we have retired for the evening. But not before fanning and pushing the blackend air out the window. To say the least, the fire in the hall was more smoke than dangerous flames, but as one of us said as he lay semi concious on the floor, "This was an awesome night. Thanks for being my friend."
